Clarity MediSpa - My Colonics experience - from Raw Vegan Momma blog

Some argue that colonics is not needed because our bodies are designed to do away with this debris. Oh really, I always say then why are so many people dying from colon cancer on a yearly basis. Why are laxatives the number one drug that people purchase each year? I also hear, “Well I eat very healthy or I eliminate several times throughout the day. I usually say if you had any period of time when you ate unhealthy you might have some cleaning to do, although I have been vegetarian since 1992 and ate healthy (I ate healthier than many vegetarians I know today) I knew that I probably had some gunk that was not being eliminated completely.

When we think of cleansing we have to keep in mind that the body has several channels of elimination. These channels are the liver, lungs, lymphatic system, blood, skin, colon and kidneys. I always think of dirty dishes that have baked on food. A normal cleaning usually won’t get rid of this baked on goo. I always need to do extras to get that dish clean. Hmm, could this happen to some material in my stomach/intestines? Ok, I was now starting to have serious doubts that my healthy eating habits were effectively eliminating everything that needed to be out of my system. I’m a whole foods diva. I eat very little processed foods. Months go by without me consuming processed foods. I was beginning to question how clean my colon really was I knew it was time to give colonics a try. i rationalized that doing this procedure I would find out if I was “clean inside”. Personally, I think everyone should undertake some type of internal cleansing to thoroughly clean out all of our elimination channels.

I might have lost 1-3 pounds. I had a feeling that I would not lose a lot of weight. I’m 5′ 100 pounds. I don’t have too much to lose. I have read that people who are slim usually don’t lose a lot of weight during this procedure. This was not the reason I had it done. Over the years I had done numerous hours of research online and I read numerous books. I intuitively knew that this would benefit me and it did.
